Building End Use:
This second home and pool / recreational structure constructed entirely with Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs).

Roof Construction:
The roof of this forward-thinking home are built with 12-inch thick SIPs. This substantial insulation helps maintain a comfortable interior environment while minimizing the need for excessive heating or cooling.

Benefits of SIP Implementation:
The use of SIPs in this project yielded multiple advantages, revolutionizing the construction process and enhancing the home's overall performance.

Time Efficiency:
SIPs played a pivotal role in reducing construction time by a remarkable four weeks. The precision and ease of installation offered by SIPs allowed for a quicker and more streamlined building process.

Labor Optimization:
Significantly less labor was required for the installation of SIPs compared to traditional construction methods. This not only saved costs but also contributed to the project's overall efficiency.

HVAC System:
Split system air to air source heat pumps and passive solar with insulated 4" concrete slab on grade, ensuring occupant comfort.

Innovation in Design and Engineering:
*There are no interior columns. The 12-foot-on-center site-assembled glulam trusses, clear span the living spaces and also allow for clear canopies and ridge skylights.
*This project has all windows with double neoprane thermal break, hard foam filled tubeline window cores.
*All lighting LED low voltage.
