I've been a believer in SIPs since being introduced to them. The pre-engineering is great. Ease of installation, air tightness, less sealing that conventional framing saves times, and the roof panels enabled this project to get closed in faster. There are also less utility costs during the build. With this home being on Lake Superior's North Shore, energy efficiency as well as air tightness were attributing factors.
This home was awarded the 2022 Jerry Rouleau Award in Home Design: Panelized Over 3,000 sq. ft.
