The buyer selected us because we use SIPs, hydronic radiant heat, and HRV’s as our standard construction system and we would certify their home with Energy Star. Using SIPs created a better building envelope and helped to reduce heat loss from this well insulated SIPs shell. Premier Building System's SIPs also offer higher insulation R-value, significantly reducing thermal bridging, and helped to make the building air tight. The homeowner has medical needs that require a comfortable indoor environment, SIPS contributed to this significantly along with the HRV filtered air system and the radiant heat system (that does not blow air around the house in order to heat it up). These three components combined significantly improved the indoor air quality and environment for the homeowner.
