SIPs construction substantially brought cost down. HVAC equipment was downsized, Geothermal well was eliminated and fresh air intake in lieu of, eliminated the manually installed exterior wall insulation and associated air sealing issues. Better energy savings projections were able to be made to qualify for Mid American energy Rebate Program because of the tighter building envelope using SIPs than originally with the tilt up concrete.
