From the outset, this home was meticulously designed to maximize the benefits of SIPs, utilizing sensible dimensions that ensure high value shear walls, crucial for an area known for high winds and seismic activity. The entire building envelope was expertly assembled by just two and a half carpenters in a mere three months. Even through the harsh winter months, the interior comfort remained impeccable, allowing tradesmen to work in warm conditions while the snow piled up outside.

Our use of 6x12 rafter beams to support the SIP roof not only provides continuous insulation but also highlights the impressive beams inside. When these beams align with the windows, the result is a room that feels both spacious and welcoming.

A 200,000 BTU tankless water heater powers the hydronic tubing embedded in the concrete slab, providing efficient heating.
