La Chiquita

The house is born from a 3×3 meter module (approx. 9.8×9.8 feet), which organizes the interior spaces within a grid, allowing for multiple configuration possibilities and future expansion.

In the midst of a challenging economic landscape, construction opportunities have become more limited for younger generations. This has sparked a rethinking of how to build within fewer square meters—creating homes with more compact and efficient layouts. A key design principle was the use of sustainable materials: 90% of the construction materials are certified, reforested wood, resulting in a home with minimal environmental impact.

This project is an adaptation of the Banco Hipotecario prototype from the PRO.CRE.AR competition.
