We have a massive labor shortage here in Dallas so SIPs were really helpful with the speed of framing. Everything was simple. Because we use SIPs we did not have to over-think anything. That is one of the reasons I like them. SIPs are a creative solution in and of themselves. They make the whole process easier.

HERS Index: 47
Blower door test results: 1.3 ACH50
HVAC system used on the project: Single 4 ton forced air unit with 4 zones. Gas furnace; steel ducts. two speed condenser.

Windows are .25 U-value, the frames are fiberglass.  Two 50 gallon tanked water heaters that are recirculating. Energy star appliances. South facing windows are behind overhangs for a porch and balcony.  Low VOC paint. Artificial grass in the backyard. Grass in the front yard is "Palisades" drought tolerant grass.
Synthetic wood on the balcony deck. Drought tolerant landscaping. Stone coated metal shingles. I used polyurethane crown and floor molding.
