This project, a home renovation using beams and frame from a 100+ year old barn, is the owner's primary residence. Once the frame was squared up, the SIPs added the structural strength. They were able to install all the panels for this structure in less than one week. Mr. Alvin installed in-floor heat with an LP gas boiler. A mini-split was installed for cooling the home. A heat pump was also installed. The home is clad with Marvin Triple Pane windows. The owner, 73 year old Jon Alvin, is a retired commercial contractor. He stated, "I built tip-up concrete buildings all over the Country, and these SIP Panels impressed me more every day I worked with them. And, even more, now that I live inside of them."
