Seaport Pier is a year-round multi-purpose venue for regional and tourist guest of North Wildwood, NJ. There are two beach bars, one cafe, a swim club and a police office that call Seaport Port Pier home.  Although SIPs were not selected in the original planning of Seaport Pier, they were added in the design phase for several reasons which include the ability to span 15' without additional framing, the ability to use the existing wood frame pier without modification and the alignment with the building timeline.

SIP wall thickness and core material: non-SIP wall 13,000 sq. ft.
SIP roof thickness and core material: 10" SIP roof with EPS solid core insulation 16,512 sq. ft.

Using SIPs enable them to expose the roof trusses, to increase truss spacing and mimic heavier timber construction. They were also able to build more quickly and easily meet the 2015 energy code requirements.  Seaport Pier was designed to align the truss system with the wood-frame pier pile spacing. Dormered windows were included in the roof design to maximize natural light from the outdoors.

They were able to restore and reuse the original pier boardwalk decking and supports. The roof is finished with a cool, reflective, blue metal roofing material that enhances the aesthetics of the Pier and Ocean scene. This construction project brought new life to the once-foreclosed and vacant Seaport Pier. At fourteen and a half feet above sea level, the building plans adhere to the most stringent codes for beachfront development. All elevation, wind, and flood plain guidelines have been met according to both local and state code requirements. Builder, Lee Rossner said, "This was our first project with Enercept [SIPs] and the experience was great. Enercept provided detailed support and the product was erected quickly and safely in a challenging environment at the Jersey Shore..."
