Since this region is surrounded by mountains, it is very cold in winter. Client wanted to build the agricultural building with wood material. He thought a conventional wood frame house is too cold inside in winter. That's reason why he chose SIPs.

This building is located on blueberry farm. Ground floor uses for packing blueberries and temporary storage purpose. Second floor is residential area.

SIP wall thickness and core material: 6 1/2" Neopor
SIP roof thickness and core material: 8 1/4" Neopor

Sip construction cost more but it saves energy more than 60% and good for our health. SIPs also saved 50% on framing labor. The tightness of the SIP building envelope prevents polluted air entering from outside. Certified by Passive House Institute Korea (PHIK)  2.4L (A1 Class)

HERS Index: 24 (Korea does not use HERS Index but 24L is same as HERS Index 24)
Blower door test results: 0.68 ACH50
