With more growth on the front range and increased responsibilities of Northern Water, they have more employees and equipment and need more office and storage buildings to accommodate them.
Northern Water delivers water to Northeastern Colorado for agricultural, municipal, domestic, and industrial uses. They operate existing water supply projects, implement new ones, and prioritize water conservation, quality, and environmental stewardship. As Northern Water's responsibilities grow alongside the Front Range, they require expanded facilities to accommodate increased staff and equipment.
RB+B's master plan for Northern Water's Headquarters calls for a significant expansion, including a new System Control Center, to enhance security and operational efficiency. This multi-phase project involves nearly doubling the existing building square footage. Phase I included the construction of three new buildings, including this three-story office building.
