The Department of Energy’s Building Technologies Office (BTO) has released its Multi-Year Program Plan (MYPP) for Fiscal Years 2016-2020. The MYPP provides a broad overview of the energy use in the buildings sector, the opportunities for cost-effective energy savings, the barriers to their achievement, and BTO’s strategies and goals for achieving significant reductions in building energy use intensity. Along with the MYPP, you will find logic models for each of BTO’s program areas, which identify and visualize the connections between key objectives, activities/partners, outputs, and near-, mid- and long-term outcomes.
A draft Multi-Year Program Plan was first released in early October 2015 for public review and comment. More than 25 substantive comments were received, most of which expressed broad support for the goals and plans set forth in the draft plan. Comments also offered specific recommendations for enhancing the effectiveness of these efforts. The updated plan presented here reflects our consideration of these comments, as well as other recent program developments.
Stakeholders will have an opportunity to learn more about and provide feedback on the MYPP, logic models, and BTO's goals at the 2016 BTO Peer Review. Register today!
