The Structural Insulated Panel Association (SIPA) teamed up with Green Builder College earlier this summer to offer a comprehensive training curriculum on one of the fastest growing building systems in green construction. Building with SIPs has been proven to boost energy efficiency, reduce labor costs and improve profitability.
To promote the new training program, Green Builder College hosted a contest that industry professionals could enter to win a scholarship. We are excited to announce the following list of winners:
Mark Burgess, Howard College
Alfredo De Jesus, JAD & Associates, LLC
Brad Diaz, MHS Building System
Robert Eppelheimer, 4 R Construction & Preservation
Christopher Gauthier, Gauthier Construction
Bill Hickey, Lasmer Industries
Pamela Magnus, Architects Magnus
Victorial Martoccia, Martoccia Custom Construction
Tod Stephens, NexGenViz Consulting
Dennis Unger, Riverside Engineering
The curriculum consists of ten video sessions designed for builders and design professionals. From designing and estimating SIP projects to installation and finishing techniques, the ten sessions will give a complete overview of the SIP construction process. The sessions are available to watch on-demand at Green Builder College. By viewing the videos and completing each of the session tests, participants are on their way to becoming a SIPA Certified Builder.
“Green Builder College congratulates the contest winners and welcomes the Structural Insulated Panel Association (SIPA) to our team of education partners.” said Butch Gaudette, Dean, Green Builder College.
