News Release - 6/16/2006

Forecasts released by the Department of Energy (DOE) predict oil and natural gas prices will remain high for 2006 and 2007.  Although global oil demand growth has slowed recently due to high prices, demand still remains strong.  Natural gas prices are expected to remain high as well because of the relatively tight supply and demand situation.

In the United States, buildings account for 36% of energy use.  Buildings made with structural insulated panels (SIPs) and other high performance building systems can cut energy use and save money as energy costs remain high.

About SIPA

The Structural Insulated Panel Association (SIPA) is a non-profit association representing manufacturers, suppliers, fabricators/distributors, design professionals, and builders committed to providing quality structural insulated panels for all segments of the construction industry.
